Visit Often
I haven't lived in Owego since 1962, but my family lives there and I visit often. Every time I drive across the bridge over the Susquehanna, I feel at home and an inner peace fills my being. The education I received in this small town was top notch. Many of my classmates have gone on to become psychologists, doctors, engineers, lawyers and teachers. I became a
professional classical musician. Roger Keagle and John Davies set the bar high for their replacements, and from all I have heard, the music program in the Owego school system is still stellar. Our class of 150 students (or less) still has a class reunion every five years. We are friends for life. Owego is Tioga County's headquarters. Court Street surrounds the magnificent courthouse. Underneath the pavement of Court Street are cobblestones. Wild berries and apples grow along the country roads. The beautiful homes, tall trees, picturesque churches and the flowing river make this village visually difficult to top.
