Swings Along the Susquehanna
I am choosing Owego NY as America's coolest small town. A lot of facts have been written already but my memories are of pleasant evenings on the numerous swings along the Susquehanna River in the Hickory's Park. They have play ground equipment, picnic areas and camp ground sites.
There are walking trails and tracks. There is a Municipal Pool and right behind the pool is Marvin Park. The park has special meaning for me. The cemetery on the Hill off Erie St. has the Indian girls monument which upon your visit there you'll see a whole overview of the town. I took pictures from there when the old bridge was under dismantling.
